i'm in a bit of a different setting than i am normally when i write my posts, but i decided i needed to record the last week as i failed to remember to bring my journal with me. so here it is. I'm in the middle of spring break right now. i was "checked out" of school the beginning of the day Friday, and we got on the road right away. The first day we drove to las-vegas and stayed in a hotel. We drove again the next day, and then on to My Grandma/Grandpa's house from there. We've been staying there the past few days and it's been fun, because grandma doesn't mind giving us 50 pounds of icing on top of a cinnamon roll for breakfast, whereas that is a rare occurence in our house :) You know,( actually you don't) Dad with his pop tarts and coke for breakfast in the morning, and i'm gone for the bus to school at 8:10-ish. Non of us pay too much attention to what we're eating for breakfast. (once in a while though, mom will make something for us) So anyway. yesterday we went to see Alice in Wonderland, which i have been very excited for since i first heard about it. I loved it! It had that spin on it that i love, that only Tim Burton has to add to a movie. Like some of my other favorites The Corpse Bride, The Night before Christmas, etc. It had that sort of creepy(for lack of a better word) feel to it. The mad hatter had to be my favorite. He is played by Johny Depp. I loved his friendship with Alice, and the true emotion he showed when she seamed to not remember her time in "wonderland" before. It was all in all, a great movie. I would recommend it. Ok, so continueing on. After the movie we went over to my uncle's parent's house to take a look at some things, and then went to dinner at Jonny Carino's. We had planned to go go-carting, but it was closed! We ended up going to an arcade that was close, and played games there for a little while. We went on the bumper cars(close enough to go carting right?) and that was fun. So, today Mom and Dad are at the temple, and when they get back we're going to get lunch and go bowling. Bowling is not my favorite, but you know, i'll give it a try any way. So, yeah- that's Spring Break so far(with an exception of a few things i've forgotten) ~meg
